Holistic Body Therapy
Holistic Body Therapy combines different hands-on healing and massage techniques to rebalance and reconnect the body to its own vital source of energy. It promotes self-healing and restores genuine health and wellbeing.
I use a combination of acupressure, gentle stretching, joint manipulation, deep tissue massage, abdominal massage, breath, assisted yogic postures, aromatherapy and energy work to effectively release stress and tension, enhance immunity and flexibility and address a wide-range of conditions including: muscular tension, stress, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, high/low blood pressure, respiratory conditions, digestive problems, hormonal imbalances, back and neck pain, migraines, pregnancy and post-natal conditions and much more.
Over the past twenty years I have run a busy private practice, working with clients with a diverse range of emotional, physical and psychological challenges. My treatments are totally responsive and intuitive drawing on all the techniques available to me to individually treat each client, gently unblocking, restoring and re-connecting them to their own vital source of energy.
I have trained and worked with many of the leading practitioners in the field and I am a member of the Complementary Medical Association.
My treatments are given on a futon mattress on the floor. Whilst most of it is done through loose clothing using thumbing, palming and rocking techniques, my deep tissue work, involves firm finger pressure into the muscle and tissue to release stored tension and also includes the use of hand crafted aromatherapy oil blends.
You may be used to receiving massages on a table or massage couch. However, you will find that there is something grounding and calming about being worked on whilst lying on the floor and for the therapist, it is a more natural way of working.
